You and Heathers have something in common
Spoilers for both Heathers 2018 and for the Second season of You. Content warning for people who are uncomfortable with mentions of explicit violence.
You really got to me with that ending, I should have expected as such, given I read both books, but I’m hoping the theories that its Joe’s mom is actually true. I consumed You over a period of several days, a slow burn which was very chewy towards the end. With You, I’ll admit, I had expectations, You had a perfectly good set drop, the narration exquisite. I thought nothing would really top it, but I kept a open mind. You blew me away, in more ways than I had expected.
One of the more delighted highlights of this season of You would have to be the Quinn siblings, Forty and Love. With the rapidness in direction for this season, there was more of a dynamic with Joe early on, which caught me off guard, but payed off at the end of the season. Forty and Joe on the other hand was an unexpected pairing, which worked well for the season.
